This is the second scheduled tour from Taiwan after the first successful trip in 2009 May.

15 May 10 Taiwan birders arrival at Chengdu and met by three 4WD then we drove to Wawu Mountain directly. I am happy to find out the there is a birder named Mr Lin second join this tour guided by me. Why we use 4WD as the Wolong area do not allow van more than 9 seats go into the area due to the rebuidlings after the 2008 earthquake. But things much better than before and it is said that in 2011 will be no problem to go to this area and all roads finished rebuilding.

16-17 May two full days at Wawu and we saw all good birds include the parrotbills and Temminck’s Tragopan. Espeically we saw two tims of Red Panda at the summit.

18 May we drive to Wolong and due to using 4Wd so no problem to get into the area and we using a new, small but clean hotel at Wolong named Yuan Shen Tai.

19-20 May Except the Chinese Monal we managed to see all other target and important birds. Then we carry on to Maerkang for overnight at Jiarong International Hotel which is a good 4 stars.

21 May we spent a full day at Mengbi Shan forest and to get more important birds include Koklass Pheasant, Sichuan Jay and Chestnut-throated Partridge.

22 May after a short stop at Mengbi Forest again then we head back to Chengdu in one day.

23 May drop off at airport after they got about 140 species and include 11 game birds and two red pandas.
